Play along with the record. The tab follows you.

Open your Guitar Pro file, load the song, and the cursor moves exactly where each note sounds. Mark the solo, slow it down and loop it until you nail it.

Watch the dot under the bar: inside a zone it takes the zone's color and beats slowly. Solo I Solo II

Works with Guitar Pro (gp3 to gp8), MusicXML, alphaTex and MIDI, and with mp3, ogg, wav, m4a or flac audio.

What's new in SyncoTab

New things to help you learn your songs faster and enjoy practicing more.

  • Your zones light up

When the song reaches your solo or chorus, the progress dot takes that part's color and beats gently, so you always know where you are.

  • Tune your guitar or bass right here

A tuner for acoustic and electric guitar and for 4- and 5-string bass, using your microphone. With Pro, it also plays each string so you can tune by ear.

  • A metronome that follows the song

A classic metronome with a swinging pendulum that keeps the song's tempo for you, or the tempo you choose.

  • Focus mode Pro

Full screen with just the tab and your song parts. Nothing else on the screen while you play.

  • One song in the cloud, free

Save a song to your account and open it from any computer, even on the free plan.

  • Slow it down, speed it up

One button to practice slower until it's clean, then back up to full speed. The pitch stays the same.

How it works

Four steps, and the first time takes just a couple of minutes. After that, you open the project and pick up where you left off.

  1. Open the tab

Drag your file into the window. If it's MIDI, you choose which track becomes tablature.

  2. Load the audio

The mp3 from your album or any audio file. With no audio, the synthesizer plays.

  3. Mark the zones

Set where bar 1 starts, fine-tune with anchors if the tempo drifts, and name the parts: intro, chorus, Solo I.

  4. Practice

Loop a zone, slow it down without changing the pitch, and add the metronome on top.

What it does for you while you play

Built around how you actually learn a song: in sections, slowly at first, with the original recording as your reference.

Sync

The tab and the recording move together, even when the drummer speeds up.

A cursor that follows the real recording

The cursor follows the audio, not a theoretical tempo. If the live take runs faster, so does the tab.

Anchors and tap mode

Mark where a few bars start or tap along as you listen; SyncoTab works out the rest.

Your own audio

Use the song file you already have: mp3, wav, m4a, flac and more. YouTube videos are coming in a future version.

Tracks and instruments

Switch between guitar, bass or any track in the file and hear only the one you're learning.

Practice

Isolate the hard parts and repeat them until they're not hard anymore.

Color zones

Split the song into named, color-coded sections and loop any of them with one click.

Markers

Drop a marker on the bar you always trip over and jump back to it instantly.

Speed and loop

From 25% to 150% without changing the pitch, so you can build up gradually.

Metronome and count-in

A click over the recording and a bar of count-in before you start.

Write and fix

For when there's no tab, or the one you found has mistakes.

Note editor Pro

Fix frets and strings, add or delete notes, and save the edited version alongside the original.

Tune up and keep time

A guitar and bass tuner and a metronome with a pendulum, built into the player, so you never leave the song to get ready.

Guitar and bass tuner

Acoustic or electric guitar, 4- or 5-string bass. Play a string and the needle shows how far off you are; it turns green when it's in tune.

It also plays a reference note so you can hear how each string should sound, with a realistic guitar or bass tone. Pro

Metronome with a pendulum

Click the button to hear the click; double-click it to open the metronome. It follows the song's tempo, or you set your own.

All your work in one .syncotab file

Syncing a song takes time. The project keeps the score, the audio and every adjustment you made, so you never have to do it twice.

  • Open it on another computer and it's exactly as you left it.
  • Audio inside or out. Save a reference to the file or video, or embed it with Pro.
  • On your drive or in your account. Save it locally or, with Pro, upload it to the cloud to have it anywhere.

  • Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. No app stores, no separate downloads.
  • Double-click a .syncotab file and it opens straight in SyncoTab (on desktop).
  • Keeps working offline with the files on your computer.

Common questions

See all questions

Do I need an account to use SyncoTab?

Yes, a free account. It takes a minute and keeps your plan, your settings and your cloud project with you on any computer. Your .syncotab files stay on your computer, too.

What happens to my audio? Is it uploaded anywhere?

The audio plays in your browser. It only leaves your computer if you save a project with embedded audio to the cloud.
