Everything you need to learn a song

Open the tab, play the song and practice it part by part, at your own speed. These are the tools that make it easier.

Play along

The tab follows the real song

Load your tab and the song, and the cursor moves exactly where each note sounds, even if the band speeds up or slows down.

  • Your own audio Use the song file you already have. Coming in a future version: YouTube videos as the audio.
  • Easy to line up Tell SyncoTab where the song starts; for live recordings, tap along or mark a few bars and it does the rest.
  • Hear just your instrument Switch between guitar, bass or any other part of the song.
  • Works with the usual files Guitar Pro, MusicXML and MIDI tabs, and mp3 or other common audio files.
Practice

Learn it part by part

Nobody learns a solo in one go. Split the song into parts, repeat the hard one and speed up once it's clean.

  • Song parts in color Name the parts of the song (Intro, Chorus, Solo…). While you play inside one, the progress dot takes its color and beats gently. Free includes 2 zones per song.
  • Markers Mark the bar you always trip over and jump back to it in one click. Free includes 5 markers per song.
  • Slower or faster, same pitch From 50% to 100% with Free, and from 25% to 150% with Pro.
  • Repeat in a loop Loop the whole song, or just the part you're working on with Pro.
  • Focus mode Pro Full screen with just the tab and your song parts, so nothing distracts you.
Tuner and metronome

Tune up and keep time

Everything you need to get ready is inside the player: tune your guitar or bass and turn on the metronome without leaving the song.

Guitar and bass tuner

Acoustic or electric guitar, 4- or 5-string bass. Play a string and the needle shows how far off you are; it turns green when it's in tune.

It also plays a reference note so you can hear how each string should sound, with a realistic guitar or bass tone. Pro

Metronome with a pendulum

Click the button to hear the click; double-click it to open the metronome. It follows the song's tempo, or you set your own.

  • Guitar or bass Acoustic or electric guitar, 4- or 5-string bass: choose yours and play a string; the needle turns green when it's in tune.
  • Other tunings Pro Drop D, half step down, DADGAD, Open G, Drop A on the bass and more.
  • A metronome that follows the song It keeps the song's tempo for you, or the tempo you choose, with a bar of count-in before you start.
